Cancebi museumThis building was originally built in 1918, it was used as a small market, it belonged to Mr Ramon Azua, and it was recently restored by our Municipality, it takes its name after a native word that means "central coast" or refers to it, the priest Juan de Velasco, informs that Pedro de Alvarado founded the city of Manta in 1534, above the remains of what it used to be the Indian Port known as "Cancebi".
The main purpose of restoring this building was to recruit the memories of our farmers and fishermen from our province, in the way to remind us our backgrounds that we are very proud of and always brings some nostalgic memories.
